BRIEF: Man hurt after being stabbed in Palmer Square

Aug. 01--A 23-year-old man was stabbed after a party early Saturday morning in the Palmer Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said.

Around 2:35 a.m., the man was standing outside with a group of people after attending a party in the 2300 block of North Milwaukee Avenue when an unknown male attacker walked up and began stabbing him, said Chicago Police Department spokeswoman Officer Amina Greer.

The man suffered multiple stab wounds to the body and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where his condition stabilized, Greer said.

No one was in custody as a result of the incident early Saturday, and police were still investigating.
