April 25--A pedestrian in his 40s was struck by a vehicle Friday night in Wheeling, fire officials said.
The man, who was crossing the street, was hit by a vehicle about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Elmhurst and North Dennis roads, said Battalion Chief Steve Kosick of the Wheeling Fire Department. Fire officials responded to the scene at 10:05 p.m., he said.
Paramedics treated the man before transporting him to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
Further details were not available Saturday morning.
