BRIEF: Two wounded in North and South side shootings

Feb. 23--A 20-year-old man was found shot Tuesday morning in an alley in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 9:20 a.m., officers responded to the 8800 block of South Winchester Avenue and found the man with multiple gunshot wounds, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Another man, 19, was shot in his right side in the Arcadia Terrace neighborhood on the North Side about 1:35 p.m.

He was in the 5800 block of North Washtenaw Avenue when someone stepped out of a older blue Chevy Caprice and shot him, police said. The 19-year-old was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and his condition had been stabilized.

No one is in custody.
