Sept. 19--A 25-year-old man was discovered fatally stabbed Saturday morning in the city's Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest Side, police said.
About 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of a unresponsive man lying on the ground in the 3500 block of West 24th Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a spokesman for the Chicago Police Department.
The man was identified as Anthony Galvan, of the 2700 block of South Hamlin Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
When officers arrived, they found a victim with stab wounds to the chest, Estrada said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:55 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
Area Central police were investigating.
