BRIEF: Man found dead after Englewood fire

March 15--Police have launched a death investigation after a man's body was found inside a home following a fire in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 9:10 a.m. Saturday, the Chicago Fire Department was called to a fire inside a vacant building in the 6600 block of South Racine Avenue on the South Side, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

Fire department personnel discovered the body of a deceased male, Greer said.

The man's exact age and identity could not be immediately determined. Further details were not immediately available.
