BRIEF: Man fatally shot in Maywood

Oct. 16--A man was shot dead in suburban Maywood on Thursday afternoon.

Just after 1 p.m., police found Marlon E. Godwin, 31, near the 700 block of South 4th Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds, according to a news release from Maywood police.

He was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Maywood police at 708-450-4471.
