March 24--A man was shot to death in west suburban Maywood on Monday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded to a call of a person shot near 10th Avenue and School Street and found Ferris Howard, 29, shot once in the chest, according to police.
He was taken to Loyola University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Howard was armed with a handgun at the time of his death, police said.
