Oct. 11--A man was shot dead Saturday evening in Lockport, according to Will County officials.
At about 7:20 p.m., Will County Sheriff's police were called to a house in the 100 block of Fairmont Avenue, where a man had been shot in the head, said Deputy Chief Tom Budde. The man, whose age was not immediately available, died of the injury.
Will County Sheriff's police are conducting a homicide investigation, Budde said.
