April 12--A man dressed in women's clothing and a wig robbed a bank in the Hollywood Park neighborhood midday Tuesday, authorities said.
The man walked into the TCF Bank, 5600 N. Kimball Ave., just before noon, and showed a handgun during the robbery, according to FBI spokesman Garrett Croon.
The man, who initial reports said was wearing "women's clothing," demanded money at gunpoint and then fled, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a police spokeswoman.
The man was described as black, with a slender build. He was wearing a black hat, white-rimmed sunglasses, a red trench coat, black gloves, black pants, a purple scarf and a wig, authorities said.
