May 12--A 28-year-old man died a month after he was critically wounded in an Uptown neighborhood shooting, according to authorities.
Louis Walker, of the 1400 block of South Ridgeway Avenue in Chicago, was pronounced dead about 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning.
He had been shot in the 4700 block of North Broadway about 2:45 p.m. April 7. At the time, police said Walker was sitting in the driver's seat of a car when someone in another car shot him.
An autopsy by the Cook County medical examiner's office Monday ruled Walker's death a homicide.
