Jan. 22--A 68-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning after being struck by a truck in a work-related accident, according to officials.
The accident happened at 9 a.m. on the 11600 block of South Burley Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Luis Carrasco, of the 4800 block of South Long Avenue, was a pedestrian when he was struck by a truck in an unloading area, officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:22 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. An autopsy is expected Thursday.
