Sept. 25--A 30-year-old man shot in South Austin on Sept. 18 died Wednesday, officials said.
Jermel Clay, 30, of the 2700 block of West 15th Street, died at Mount Sinai Hospital on Wednesday evening, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
He had been shot in the face, chest and abdomen in the 400 block of South Central Avenue on the evening of Sept. 18. Two other men, ages 38 and 41, were wounded in the shooting.
