July 29--A man has died after being pulled from the water near Oak Street Beach early Wednesday, police said.
Police pulled the 40-year-old man from the lake about 4:03 a.m. in the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police were conducting a death investigation.
