BRIEF: Man stabbed to death in South Loop home

March 10--A man was stabbed to death during a domestic-related argument in the South Loop neighborhood, police said.

The 27-year-old man was stabbed in the chest while inside a home in the 2100 block of South Michigan Avenue around 8:40 p.m., according to police. The Cook County medical examiner's office identified him as Ronald Thomas.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:24 p.m., according to authorities.

The man's girlfriend, a 29-year-old woman, was taken into custody, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
