Aug. 26--A 25-year-old man was left in critical condition after he was stabbed during an argument Wednesday morning in the city's Old Town neighborhood on the Near North Side.

Shortly after 11 a.m., the man was involved in a gang-related disturbance on the 1300 block of North Hudson Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

Another man stabbed the victim in the abdomen during an argument, and then fled the scene, police said.

The victim was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Estrada said.

Police were investigating.
