BRIEF: Man critically wounded in Marquette Park shooting

Aug. 10--Someone shot a 23-year-old man in the groin and abdomen Monday morning in the Marquette Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to police.

The gunshot wounds left the man in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center.

The man had been in the 2700 block of West Lithuanian Plaza Court about 8:40 a.m. when someone approached him and fired shots, police said.

No one is in custody and area detectives are investigating.
