Nov. 05--Four men were hurt in separate shootings since late Wednesday morning on the West and Northwest sides, Chicago police said.
Most recently, a 30-year-old man and a 44-year-old man were wounded in a shooting around 2:10 a.m. Thursday near the 606 trail in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.
The two men were standing in an alley in the 1800 block of North Richmond Street when two male attackers walked up to them and fired shots, Alfaro said.
The 30-year-old was hit in the buttocks and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition stabilized. Police said he is a self-admitted gang member.
The 44-year-old was hit in the left hand and was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
Around 10 p.m., a 20-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, Alfaro said.
The man was walking on a sidewalk in the 4300 block of West Adams Street when someone fired shots from a passing red minivan, striking him in the right leg, Alfaro said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.
Shortly before 10:45 a.m., a man was critically wounded in a shooting on the West Side in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened in the 3900 block of West Division Street, police said.
A 28-year-old man suffered wounds to the abdomen and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.
No one was in custody, and police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
