Oct. 24--A man was critically injured early Saturday when an all-terrain vehicle he was driving crashed near Antioch, authorities said.
Sheriff's deputies were called to Lake Shore Drive and West Grass Lake Road outside of Antioch about 2:15 a.m. and found a 32-year-old man who had been critically injured in a crash involving a four-wheel ATV, according to a Lake County sheriff's news release. The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Two ATVs were headed east on Grass Lake near Lake Shore when the man lost control of the ATV and it rolled, ejecting him, police said, citing findings from their preliminary investigation.
Police were still investigating Saturday afternoon.
