BRIEF: Man critically hurt in motorcycle crash in Logan Square

March 10--A man was critically hurt after falling off a motorcycle early Thursday in the Logan Square neighborhood, police said.

A 26-year-old man accidentally fell off his motorcycle in the 3200 block of west Barry Avenue around 12:52 a.m., said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, Gaines said.

Early Thursday, police officers blocked off Barry Avenue with yellow tape between Spaulding and Sawyer avenues.

A man who witnessed the incident said the motorcyclist lost his consciousness but seemed to regain it inside the ambulance.

No other information was immediately available about the incident.
