BRIEF: Man charged with trying to set fire at Roosevelt University

April 05--A Chicago man was charged Sunday with trying to set a fire at Roosevelt University last week, police said.

Lavalle Miller, 35, of the 1000 block of West Fullerton Avenue, was charged with a felony count of attempted arson and one misdemeanor count of trespassing, police said.

Miller is accused of starting a fire in a trash bin about 4:50 p.m April 1 at Roosevelt's Loop campus, police said.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Miller is expected to appear in bond court Sunday.
