BRIEF: Man charged with shooting video up skirt of teen girl on CTA Red Line

May 17--A Chicago man is charged with the unauthorized video recording of a minor after prosecutors say he followed a 16-year-old girl up the stairs at the Harrison CTA station and pointed his phone up her skirt to record video.

Steven Carmona, 40, began recording the girl at the Belmont Avenue Red Line CTA station on April 1, prosecutors said Saturday, and followed her on a southbound Red Line train.

Carmona took video of her on the train and then exited when she did at the Harrison Street Red Line stop, taking video as she walked up the stairs, "recording the victim's buttocks," according to court documents.

Judge Peggy Chiampas ordered Carmona held on $150,000 bail Saturday. Chiampas also ordered him to stay away from the victim, other minors and CTA property.

Carmona, of the 10100 block of South Avenue M, is charged with unauthorized video recording of a person under age 18 and is due back in court Monday.
