March 05--A 20-year-old Palatine man was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail after being charged with sexually assaulting a child in the northwest suburb, police said.
Connor J. Noonan of the 100 block of South Walnut Street was charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, Palatine police said in a press release.
According to police, Noonan was arrested after a child under the age of 10 made an outcry. The assaults happened several times between May 2012 and June 2013 as the child visited Noonan's home.
During the investigation Noonan gave a video-taped confession to the allegations, police said.
He appeared at the Rolling Meadows courthouse Friday for a bond hearing where he was ordered held in lieu of $1 million bail. His next court date is March 31.
