April 10--A Roseland man was ordered held in lieu of $200,000 bail after being charged with sexually abusing two girls.
Eddie Martin, 42, of the 10400 block of South Wallace Street appeared in bond court at the Leighton Criminal Court Building where Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil ordered him held.
He was charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 13 and aggravated sexual abuse of a minor between the ages of 13 and 17. He is also charged with distributing explicit materials, according to police and prosecutors.
According to court documents, Martin knowingly abused an 8-year-old girl and had sexual intercourse with another girl while she was between the ages of 14 to 17 years old.
His next court appearance is Monday.
