Jan. 25--A Cicero man was charged with forcing a 10-year-old boy to touch him inappropriately and asking the boy to shower with him, according to prosecutors.
Jairo Avitia, 26, of the 5200 block of West 25th Place, was charged with two counts of criminal predatory sexual assault and was held in lieu of $325,000 bond Saturday in Cook County court.
Avitia allegedly asked the boy to take a shower with him, kissed the boy and forcibly made the boy touch his genitals and other parts of his body on several occasions from Dec. 1 to Jan. 17 when the boy would visit Avitia's house to see Avitia's relative, according to Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Michael Gamboney.
The boy told family members about the acts, and Avitia was arrested, Newton said.
Avitia is currently on probation for a previous aggravated battery conviction, Gamboney said.
His next court date is Tuesday.
