BRIEF: Man charged in Lakeview neighborhood stabbing

May 10--A 25-year-old man was charged in the stabbing of a man he had been drinking with at a Lakeview neighborhood apartment, police said Tuesday morning.

Christopher Holmes, of the 500 block of West Aldine Avenue, the same address where the stabbing occurred, was charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm, police said.

About 1:30 a.m. Monday, Holmes and a 28-year-old man were at the apartment consuming alcohol when they got into an argument. Holmes grabbed a knife and stabbed the man multiple times in the back and legs, police said.

The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized. Holmes was arrested Monday.

He was scheduled to appear Tuesday at a bail hearing.
