BRIEF: Man charged in fatal stabbing of woman in Roseland

Feb. 10--A 48-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed in the Roseland neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

Chris Moore, 57, of the 11100 block of South Lowe Avenue, was charged in the domestic-related killing, police said. Moore is slated to appear in court at the Leighton Criminal Court Building on Tuesday.

Janice Coleman was found unresponsive about 12:10 p.m. Sunday in the 11300 block of South Parnell Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police said they were unsure what time the stabbing occurred.

An autopsy Monday determined Coleman, of the 11100 block of South Parnell Avenue, died of multiple stab and incised wounds. Her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:15 p.m.

Area South detectives were investigating.
