Oct. 04--Authorities arrested a gunman who they said was involved in a shootout with Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies late Friday in the City of Industry.

The incident began when deputies responded to a call about a man acting suspiciously, Schrader said. When deputies encountered the man, gunfire was exchanged, she said.
The man then fled the scene but deputies, assisted by a search dog, found him about three hours later at another location, Schrader said. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries.
