Aug. 04--Authorities have released surveillance photos of a man who robbed a South Loop bank Tuesday morning.
The man walked into the Fifth Third Bank branch, 601 S. Clark St., a little after 9:30 a.m., according to the FBI's BanditTracker website. The robber demanded cash and then fled with money, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a spokeswoman for the Chicago Police Department.
The man was armed with a knife, according to the FBI. No one was in custody, Sedevic said.
The robber was described as a black man, in his late 40s to early 50s, with a slender build. He was wearing a gray polo shirt and an orange Miami Dolphins hat.
Anyone with information about the robber is asked to call 911 or call the Chicago office of the FBI at 312-421-6700.
