BRIEF: Woman, 60, and man, 50, wounded in Gresham shooting

July 14--Two people were shot in the Gresham neighborhood early Tuesday, according to police.

The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Kerfoot Avenue.

A 60-year-old woman was hit in the chest, buttocks and abdomen and is in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

A man, 50, was shot in the arm and taken to St. Bernard Hospital Healthcare Center, where his condition had been stabilized.

The two were sitting on a porch when someone exited a vehicle and fired toward them, police said.
