BRIEF: Man, 62, killed in South Side crash

July 01--A 62-year-old man died early Wednesday after a traffic crash on the city's South Side.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 5:30 a.m. in the 800 block of East 95th Street in the Burnside neighborhood. Details surrounding the crash were not immediately available early Wednesday, but police said the department's Major Accidents Unit was on the scene investigating.

Police could also not immediately say if anyone else was in the car with the man at the time of the crash.

The 62-year-old was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.
