Oct. 10--Police are investigating the death of a 62-year-old man who was found lying in brush Friday afternoon on the city's Far South Side.
Witnesses flagged officers down about 12:35 p.m. and alerted them to an unresponsive man lying in the 2900 block of East 126th Street in the South Deering neighborhood, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a spokeswoman for the Chicago police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Trainor said.
Police have opened a death investigation. As of 7:45 p.m., his identity had not been released.
