BRIEF: Man, 41, critically injured in fall during Grateful Dead concert

July 06--A man attending the final Grateful Dead concert Sunday night was critically injured in a fall inside Soldier Field, authorities said.

About 9 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the 1400 block of Museum Campus Drive after a 41-year-old man sitting on a railing inside the stadium fell about 20 to 25 feet, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. The fall appeared accidental, police said.

The man was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Police said early Monday morning that the man's condition had stabilized.

The man fell during the last of three 50th anniversary Grateful Dead shows at Soldier Field over the holiday weekend.
