BRIEF: Police: Man stole iPad from downtown fire station

April 30--A 25-year-old man was ordered held on $25,000 bail after police say he stole an iPad from a downtown fire station.

Antoine Jones was charged with theft of an object worth more than $500, according to court records.

About 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jones entered a Chicago Fire Department station at 55 W. Illinois St. and stole an iPad, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago police spokesman.

Jones was arrested by Near North District officers, police said. A Cook County judge ordered him held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, according to court records.
