About 12:30 a.m., a 22-year-old man walked into the University of Chicago Medical Center after he had been shot in his neck, said Officer Amina Greer, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
Police were still investigating but believe the man was shot in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Greer said. The man then drove himself to the hospital.
The man's condition was later stabilized, but due to his injuries, he could not provide police with details of the shooting.
