May 16--A 22-year-old man died late Friday night after being fatally shot in Gary, Ind., officials said.
Deonte Ballard, of the 1200 block of Aetna Street in Gary, was pronounced dead just before midnight Friday at his home, according to the Lake County Coroner's office.
Officials there said Ballard had been shot repeatedly and ruled his death a homicide, according to a statement.
Further details were not immediately available early Saturday.
