BRIEF: 'Magic Tree House' will play Broadway Playhouse

Nov. 30--Emerald City Theatre and Broadway in Chicago have announced that "Magic Tree House: A Night in New Orleans" will play at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place March 19 -- April 10.

Based on Mary Pope Osborne's best-selling series, "Magic Tree House: A Night in New Orleans" travels back in time to 1915 with Jack, Annie and a young Louis Armstrong. The production is directed by Samuel Roberson and features book and lyrics by Will Osborne and Murray Horwitz, with music and additional lyrics by Allen Toussaint.

"Magic Tree House" is currently playing at the Apollo Theater, 2540 N. Lincoln Ave., through Jan. 2.
