Feb. 20--Lupe Fiasco is ready to talk art.
The Chicag rapper (real name: Wasalu Jaco) has rescheduled "Art Talk with Wasalu Jaco" for Feb. 28 at Soho House's The Allis. The event was previously scheduled for last month at Soho House's Pizza East but was canceled for an undisclosed reason.
The discussion will cover the Chicago rapper's art collection and will be moderated by rising star and Fiasco pal Hebru Brantley. Fiasco's collection -- which will be on display and available for purchase that weekend -- includes original artwork from his recently released album "Tetsuo Youth." Email Janelle Lollio at janelle.lollio@sohohouse.com to RSVP for the reception (Don't drag your feet -- this will fill up fast). Fiasco presented his first art exhibit, "Bound," at Anonymous Gallery in New York in 2013.
In other Fiasco news, the Lupe Fiasco Foundation was recently renamed M.U.R.A.L. (Magnifying Urban Realities and Affecting Lives). A new website and logo will be revealed in March, according to a press release.
