BRIEF: Lupe Fiasco announces tour, no Chicago dates

Dec. 30--Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco announced a 17-city tour set to begin next month that includes no Chicago dates.

The "Thank You Tour" is slated to kick off Jan. 13 in Seattle and wrap up Feb. 13 in Indianapolis, the closest the rapper gets to his hometown.

Lupe Fiasco, born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco and raised on the West Side, tweeted last week he is planning to release three albums next year. The first album is named "Drogas," he confirmed. He released the "Tetsuo and Youth" album in January.

The rapper, 33, recently helped lead a Halloween parade through downtown.
