BRIEF: Loyalty Day Parade set in Batavia

April 28--The Batavia Veterans of Foreign Wars will host the 42nd annual Loyalty Day Parade in Batavia Sunday.

The parade starts at 1:30 p.m. on Wilson Street at Raddant Road, and will continue west on Wilson to South River Street, ending with a celebration at the Batavia VFW, 645 S. River St.

There will be numerous road detours and temporary traffic interruptions on the east side of Batavia as a result of the parade between 1 and 4 p.m., Batavia police said.

Route 25 traffic will be detoured to Route 31 during the event. Wilson Street will be closed between Island Avenue and Woodland Hills Road as well during the parade. This closure will include the Donovan Bridge on Wilson Street, which will be closed to traffic starting at 1:10 p.m.
