Nov. 30--"Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" star Milan Christopher Gordy denied rumors he is in a relationship with "Empire" star Jussie Smollett.
"I think Jussie's a great person, an attractive person but we are not dating," Gordy, who hails from the South Side, told US Weekly in a story posted online Monday.
The rumors gained traction recently after Gordy was involved in a messy breakup with his "Love and Hip Hop" co-star Miles Brock. Brock was arrested earlier this month after Gordy told police Brock punched him in the face while they were in New York taping the "Love and Hip Hop" reunion for VH1.
Brock and Gordy have posted contradicting views on social media about why their relationship failed. Gordy says Brock cheated on him but Brock has denied that allegation. Gordy fueled rumors of a relationship with Smollett after being coy in an interview this month about his post-split love life.
Smollett, 32, plays singer-songwriter Jamal Lyon on the Fox drama "Empire," which is filmed in Chicago and set in New York.
