BRIEF: 'Louis Keely' finds its Louis and Keely

Jan. 14--Casting was announced for "Louis Keely 'Live' at The Sahara" on Wednesday. Produced by Hershey Felder, the musical show is set to begin performances at the Royal George Theatre in March.

The musical by Vanessa Claire Stewart, Jake Broder and Taylor Hackford is a biographical concert performance about jazz duo Louis Prima and Keely Smith set at the Sahara hotel in Las Vegas. In Los Angeles, the show featured a seven-piece band.

Louis Prima will be played by Tony Award-winner Anthony Crivello.

Stewart, who co-wrote the show, will play Keely Smith, the role she originated in the LA production.

The role of Frank Sinatra has not yet been cast.

The Academy Award-winning Hackford directs the production, which begins performances March 27 at the Royal George Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted St. Tickets are now onsale at theroyalgeorgetheatre.com
