May 04--The Beverly Crest-area home of the late actor Louis Jourdan and his wife, Berthe, has sold for $3.197 million.
Built in 1959, the French-style house has 2,671 square feet of living space on a single level. Dining and breakfast rooms, a library, a bar, four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room are among the living spaces.
Walls of glass in the living room, family room and master suite look out toward the trapezoid-shaped swimming pool. The living room, family room and library have fireplaces. There is a mirror-backed bar.
A circular driveway sits at the front of the nearly half-acre lot.
Louis Jourdan died in February at age 93. The charming Frenchman starred in such films as "Octopussy" (1983), "Gigi" (1958) and "Three Coins in the Fountain" (1954) during a career that spanned more than five decades.
Berthe Fr餩rique "Quique" Jourdan died last year.
The property previously sold in 1980 for $551,500, public records show.
Barbara Duskin of Hilton Hyland, an affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, and Leonard Rabinowitz of The Agency were the listing agents. Duskin also represented the buyer.
