BRIEF: Louis C.K. coming to Chicago Theatre for four shows starting May 31

May 09--Louis C.K. will bring his self-deprecating humor to Chicago beginning May 31, the comedian known for creating, directing, writing and starring in the FX series "Louie" announced on his website Monday.

The four shows, set for the Chicago Theatre, are scheduled for 8 p.m. May 31-June 2 with a late show closing out his Chicago stay at 11 p.m. on June 3.

C.K. headlined at the Chicago Theatre in 2011 as part of the Just for Laughs festival. The Tribune's Nina Metz wrote, "C.K. understands how to broach the offensive without actually being offensive himself, and he feels like the most honest stand-up working today."

Tickets are $50 and are currently on sale at ticketmaster.com. The Chicago Theatre is located at 175 N. State St.
