BRIEF: Lost Lake closes due to small fire

March 28--The number of drinks with beautiful frilly umbrellas and dolphin-shaped bananas just got slightly smaller in Chicago. A "small fire" shut down Lost Lake (3154 W. Diversey Ave.), the tiki paradise in Logan Square, late Sunday night, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. The electrical fire took place in the kitchen.

A short message on Lost Lake's website revealed that it will be closed through Friday, April 1, to make repairs. We've reached out to the owners and will update if any new information surfaces.

This comes after the River North outlet of Xoco (449 N. Clark St.) shut down last week after a minor fire on its roof. Rick Bayless' torta and churro spot hoped to reopen quickly but just announced that it also won't reopen until Friday.
