BRIEF: Lollapalooza 4-day passes to go on sale Tuesday

March 21--Lollapalooza four-day general admission, VIP and platinum passes are set to go on sale 10 a.m. Tuesday for the July music festival.

Organizers have not yet announced the lineup but promise more than 170 bands for the festival, scheduled for July 28-31 in Grant Park. Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers and LCD Soundsystem are expected to headline, according to Billboard magazine, which cited an unnamed source.

Four-day passes cost $335 via lollapalooza.com. The on-sale date for one-day passes, which cost $120, has not yet been announced.

Four-day VIP passes, which cost $2,200, include access to restricted lounges, golf cart transportation, special viewing platforms, catered food and air-conditioned restrooms, among other perks.

One-day VIP passes, which cost $650, are slated to go on sale at a later date.

Platinum passes, priced at $4,200 for four days, include VIP perks and access to air-conditioned hospitality areas, special viewing areas and a merchandise gift bag.

Passes for the festival, which is traditionally three days, typically sell out quickly. Lollapalooza is expanding to four days this year to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
