May 15--A man was arrested at Midway Airport after a loaded handgun was found in his carry-on luggage, authorities said.
The man had been booked on a flight to Las Vegas on Thursday when the Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun was spotted at a checkpoint and he was taken into custody, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
The gun was the eighth firearm discovered in carry-on luggage at Midway this year, the TSA said.
Further information about the man arrested was not available.
