BRIEF: LeBron James says he 'loves' the short-sleeve jersey he tore up Wednesday night

Nov. 05--LeBron James couldn't take it anymore.

Midway through the second quarter against New York, the Cleveland Cavaliers star missed a three-point attempt to go 0 for 3 from behind the arc and decided enough was enough.

The sleeves had to go. Right then and there.

James used his hands to make his own uniform modification, tearing out the bottom seam of the tight-fitting short sleeves that supposedly make these jerseys special.

Last year James complained about having to occasionally wear the sleeved jerseys, suggesting they were too restrictive and affected his shot. After Wednesday's game, however, he declined to go that route again.

"I was in my own way," he said. "I was frustrated with my shot, I couldn't make a bucket, so ... I had to take it out on something."

James even went so far as to say that he and his teammates "love" the short-sleeve jerseys. He repeated the sentiment later that night on a recorded video segment.

"I love the jerseys," he said. "They were awesome. They looked great on TV. They looked great when we put them on."

He added: "Fans, go out, buy them jerseys 'cause them things is nice. But don't go tearing them up like I did tonight. That's not cool."
