Dec. 02--The actress Laurie Metcalf will be honored next year at the Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts luncheon, the theater said on Tuesday.
Metcalf is an original ensemble member of Steppenwolf Theatre, where she last appeared in Lisa D'Amour's "Detroit" in 2010. She is currently starring in the HBO series "Getting On," a dark workplace comedy about a the employees of a hospital for senior citizens.
The luncheon takes place Monday, March 9, 2015. The location has not yet been announced. Tickets start at $200 and go on sale Jan. 9.
