June 16--Sorry, Cubs fans.
You'll have to make the drive to Cleveland or perhaps Minneapolis if you want to see Kyle Schwarber make his first major league start.
The Cubs will play Cleveland at Wrigley Field Tuesday night with the same lineup they submitted before rain postponed Monday night's game. That lineup also was posted before the Cubs announced that Schwarber, who was batting .320 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs at Double-A Tennessee, would be promoted for six games to handle the designated hitter duties and work with the major league staff on improving his catching.
Schwarber isn't expected to handle the DH duties until the Cubs play the Indians in a two-game interleague series starting Wednesday night at Progressive Field.
Here's the Cubs' lineup Tuesday night against Trevor Bauer:
Fowler cf
Rizzo 1b
Bryant 3b
Montero c
Castro ss
Coughlan lf
Denorfia rf
Arrieta p
A. Russell 2b
