July 31--Two of the Chicago Bears' top prospects left Friday's practice early with minor maladies.
Cornerback Kyle Fuller, the team's first-round pick in 2014, "tweaked" an ankle, coach John Fox said. And second-round rookie nose tackle Eddie Goldman left because he was dehydrated, Fox confirmed. Neither issues are believed to be serious.
Goldman, who's listed at 6-feet-4, 332 pounds, fell out of practice before noon, as the temperature reached 85 degrees and the heat index was 89, according to the National Weather Service. He left the field with a member of the medical staff after removing his cleats. The Bears did not practice in full pads Friday.
Goldman left one practice early during the team's three-day rookie camp in May for an undisclosed reason.
Fuller was held out of the last portions of practice after hurting his ankle.
Tight end Dante Rosario was excused from practice for personal reasons, Fox said. Cornerback Tim Jennings returned to practice after his court appearance Thursday in Georgia.
